A word, dear friends, about gifts:

Ahh Love . . .
a beautiful one bedroom apartment in Hollywood, three small closets, a new puppy and Elisa loves shoes = NO SPACE FOR ANYTHING!

Not a bar of soap, not a picture frame, not that cool Nagle print that – oh, wait, that was the 80’s – never mind . . .
Really and truly, your friendship’s enough.
There’s no obligation, we have enough stuff!
Honest, we mean it – you get the drift . . .
but if you’re still thinking of something that resembles a gift –
perhaps a “certificate” we can keep tucked away,
something to use on a rainy day, or whenever we find enough time to play…
And so with a nod to all the above
below find a list of some things that we love:

A weekend away or a fun hotel stay;
in town or out, or a day trip away
to someplace that’s diffferent – a jazz fest, the zoo,
or where poppies are blooming – whenever they do . . .

Spa visits are good, massages are fun;
treatments or facials for two or for one.

Know a good trainer? We’d love a few sessions.
We’d workout ourselves, but who couldn’t use lessons?
We hear Pilates works well, we’d give that a shot . . .
We live in L.A., we have to look hot!

Dining out is divine, we don’t do it that much –
Someplace that you like, with cocktails and such . . .
If you go, take us with you – that’d be fun;
not that we mind if it’s us, one on one.

Box Lunches or Picincs at The Hollywood Bowl.
It’s fun to sit in a box there, or so we’ve been told.

Concerts are great, theatre tickets a treat.
Ozomotli to Mozart, “Hamlet” to “Grease”.
Okay “Grease”, not so much – but “Wicked” is fine,
Pilobolus, Ry Cooder, Santana – sublime!

And then, of course, there’s always TV.
Here’s our Comcast account:
{Gabrielli, 8774 – 10 – 001 – 1616559}
{ Phone # 888-255-5789 }
Be our guest, please feel free.
We’d love to have Showtime –
they keep raising the fee!

Then there’s our apartment, with no time to clean . . .
a maid for a day would really be keen.

To shop at the Mac Store is always a thrill;
It’s cool to get stuff there without paying a bill!

But really, please know this –
it’s all just for fun –
The important things, really,
when all’s said and done,
are your friendship, these moments,
the things that will last –
So come to the party
and let’s have a blast!

Love,
Elisa & Floyd
